Chanel: Soleil de Tan de Chanel Review

This highly raved about product had taken over the makeup artistry world. It has been used from just general photoshoots all the way to the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. The Chanel Soleil de tan creme bronzer is at the top of the charts when it comes to getting that gorgeous sun-kissed, bronze glow. This product was a whopping $48, was it worth it?

Many have said this product is the best creme bronzer the makeup world has to offer. Now, not many companies have been able to master a creme bronzer as it usually ends up going streaky, not long-lasting, or its too orange or dark in color. But, Chanel hit the ball on this product. It is by far the best, and one of the first creme bronzers to come out. Many companies have tried making their own, but none master up to this baby! It never goes streaky, it lasts all day, and doesn't need to be set with powder. I wouldn't say its completely matte, it does have a satin finish to it, without looking too glittery on the skin. The creamy texture is very light and so easy to blend. Most creme products tend to go cakey on the skin being layered on top of foundations, and powders on top. But this product does neither! Not to mention the product's packaging is absolutely stunning and sleek. Chanel is known for its logo, and the satin packaging with the black top with the gold logo tops it all off. It's so simple looking, yet so elegant and the ringlet textures at the top makes it look as though the product was packaged perfectly. Now, I've had and loved this product for about 8 months and haven't even put a dent in it! The amount of product in this is insane!

When it comes to applying this product, you definitely need synthetic brushes, or a sponge like a beauty blender or the real techniques sponge. My personal favorite is the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush. Its slender, yet dense brush hairs make for applying and blending the products in the hollows of the cheeks a breeze. I haven't seen many people try applying this product with their fingers, as its a tad too dark to apply with such a heavy hand unlike a cream blush. I believe this product to be too gorgeous to not apply with a great applicator! Now, this color is not for contouring ladies! DO NOT TRY IT! Contour colors are meant to be cool-toned and a little more deep in color. Trying to contour with this color will make you look like an orange creamsicle... I wish I was exaggerating. This product is meant to BRONZE the skin! Don't apply it strictly to the contours of the face, but blend it up onto the cheekbones. Ladies, do not, do not, do not use this product without applying it to the outskirts of the forehead. You're face won't look as though it is sun-kissed, and we only bronze our skins to make it look like its being hit "naturally" by the skin! Remember, bronze not contour with this product, beauties!

Most would say the high price you pay is for the brand and the packaging, and not the product as it isn't so expensive to make. But to be honest, the packaging is flawless, and product is just too die for! Ladies, if you love bronzing up your skin, especially when the winter months don't give you that glow, so you resort to fake tan, YOU NEED THIS PRODUCT IN YOUR LIFE! It is definitely worth the money, and the product lasts forever! They give you so much product, when you only need a little bit to do the job! Chanel, thank you for creating this amazing cream bronzer, and no one can master up to this one!
